McLoud hosts holiday card making class

Make this year’s holiday cards the most unique ever with the McLoud Public Library’s program, “Make Holiday Computer Cards,” set for 5:15 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, at the library, 133 N. Main St.

It’s a chance to make a one-of-a-kind card for a family member or loved one and save money over buying cards at the store.

McLoud welcomes youngsters to Story Time

The McLoud Public Library is sharing a love of reading with some of its youngest readers at Preschool Story Time, at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, at the library, 133 N. Main St.

Activities are geared to ages 3-5 and include books, board stories, rhymes, creative movement, music and more. It’s a great chance for parents and caregivers to learn about the library’s resources for young learners and early literacy.

McLoud tween group blasting off with paper rockets

Blast off with the McLoud Public Library and the next edition of its After School Kids program, set for 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, at the library, 133 N. Main St.

The group is for tweens ages 9 to 12, and they’ll learn how to make and launch air-compressed paper rockets. George Driever of the Pottawatomie County Extension Service will direct the program.
